Everyone Agrees on Culver West Project
"The project was warmly received by residents, staff,
and agency members."
The project is divided by
Centinela Avenue. The larger and more
dramatic area was the former home of US
Liquor, the other side of Centinela was a
Shell gasoline station.
Agency member Steve Rose
commented: "This project is going to be
a great benefit for the west area of West
Washington Blvd. and a catalyst for
growth throughout the area."
"This is so much more along the
lines of what the neighborhood has want-
ed to see...it's neighborhood serving, it
will be a center for our part of town," com-
mented an enthusiastic Scott Malsin,
Chair of the Redevelopment Agency. Herbert Street Neighborhood Association
and the Culver West Neighborhood
Association.
